Mary Davidson

Mary studied at Glasgow School of Art as part of the Continuing Education Programme and has been exhibiting regularly since 1994. Since then she has taken part in many exhibitions, to wide acclaim, on both sides of the Atlantic and now has works in numerous private collections in Britain and abroad.

Mary works mainly in oil. She paints a range of subject matters in an expressive manner that captures light and colour. She particularly enjoys the effect of light and shade and whilst she derives particular pleasure from the shorelines of the West Coast of Scotland, she also enjoys painting landscapes, interiors and still life.
