Kitty Mulder

Kitty was born in Semarang, on the Island of Java, a former Dutch colony, and her early years were spent in a Japanese prisoner of war camp. After her release, she was taken to see Monet's Garden, the beauty of which has been a constant inspiration to her in her own unique watercolour paintings of flowers.

As a child with an obvious talent for art, she had lessons painting and sculpture at the Open University of Art in the Hague, and later studied under the famous swiss artist Tingueley.

Kitty now lives and works in her studio in Holland.  She also teaches, including a number of Dutch celebrities, in painting. 

She is one of the most highly regarded watercolour painters in Holland, and her work is also popular in Paris, Strasbourg, New York and Switzerland, as well as the UK.
